Tile Rite U notched trowels create a U shaped ridge in the tile adhesive, this causes the adhesive to spread out from the bottom when embedding a tile, so the probability of trapping air is less likely, thus ensuring a better coverage beneath the tile. This makes the U notch trowel a preferred choice when tiling in wet areas where the tile adhesive coverage should be between 95-100%. U notched trowels also make it easier to keep adhesive out of the grout lines as you embed the tiles.
